Bobvin ("we") runs Bobvin, a service that helps businesses answer customer messages from WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger and their websites in one place.
When a business uses Bobvin, that business decides why and how its customers' messages are used. We handle those messages for the business, only to provide the service. For the account details of the business owner and their team, we are responsible ourselves.
To show messages in the shared inbox, send replies, run the business's chatbot, broadcasts and campaigns, protect accounts from misuse, and support our customers. We do not sell personal data and we do not use customer messages for advertising.
The chatbot answers from the business's own answers and notes. If the business has chosen to use an AI provider, the relevant message and the business's answers are sent to that provider only to write a reply.
Meta (to send and receive messages on WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger), our hosting provider, and, where switched on, a speech-to-text or AI provider. We may also disclose data when the law requires it.
For as long as the business uses the service. When a business closes its account, we delete its data within 30 days, except what we must keep by law. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle.
Connections use encryption, access keys are stored encrypted, each business only sees its own data, and staff access is logged.
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal data. Customers of a business should first ask that business. To delete data connected to a Facebook or Instagram login, follow the steps on our data deletion page. You can also write to the contact address your provider gave you.
